"We’ve seen a return of power to society, allowing it to produce, while also reducing the size of an overgrown state," Bullrich said. She added that the year 2024 had been one of "devolution of power" from an intrusive state back to the people.
Comparing Milei and Macri’s governments
When asked about the differences between Milei’s government and her previous experience in former President Macri’s administration, Bullrich acknowledged that "there is still work to be done." However, she emphasized that Milei had a "very clear" vision for what Argentina needed to change to function more effectively.
"He has gone straight to the root of what needs to be changed in this country," Bullrich said, differentiating Milei’s approach from those of previous governments, including Macri’s.

When questioned about the upcoming elections and the potential for candidates from La Libertad Avanza, coordinated by Karina Milei, to undermine PRO candidates in the City of Buenos Aires, Bullrich remained vague. She stated that it was essential to support the change Milei is implementing but pressed for a concrete commitment: "Either you’re in the government or you’re against it."
The Rubber Meets the Road: Disagreements within La Libertad Avanza
The ongoing differences between President Milei and his vice president, Victoria Villarruel, came to light again over the weekend. Villarruel publicly expressed dissatisfaction with her salary, to which Milei responded that she was "out of touch with reality."
Bullrich weighed in on the dispute, stating, "It’s a political, not personal, fight. Milei lost an essential resource in the Senate with this vice president." She argued that Villarruel’s decision to freeze senator salaries but complain about her low pay indicated a lack of commitment to Milei’s vision of austerity and example-setting leadership.
