The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the incident at approximately 8:30 p.m. An eyewitness reported hearing a “loud bang” while riding along the park connector network on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, and observed both the vehicle and the pedestrian had come to rest in the courtyard between Blocks 230 and 231.
Passersby indicated the pedestrian was crossing the road at the time of the accident, though the circumstances leading to the collision remain unclear. A 25-year-old enrolled nurse, Lois Koh, immediately began providing aid, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) alongside a doctor from a nearby clinic until paramedics arrived.
The car sustained significant damage, with a shattered windscreen, broken headlights, and a detached front bumper. Debris from the impact was scattered across the area. Eight police cars were present at the scene as officers investigated.
