Who’s Getting the S/1,000 Bonus?
The S/1,000 bonus is earmarked for employees of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, specifically those falling under the Decretos Legislativos 276, 728, and 1057 regimes. This includes personnel working in the Public Prosecutor’s Office, excluding prosecutors and directorial staff. Additionally, medical professionals and other health workers in the Ministry of Justice are also set to receive this bonus.
Key Details and Requirements
The bonus, approved as part of the 2025 budget, will be paid out in December 2024. It is a one-time, extraordinary payment that is not considered part of regular remuneration or pensionable. It is also not subject to social security charges or taxes.
To be eligible, workers must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in the Centralized Register of Human Resources and Payrolls (AlRHSP) by August 31, 2024.
- Maintain an active employment status at the Ministry of Justice as of November 30, 2024.
Other Bonuses and Increases
Beyond the S/1,000 bonus, the approved budget includes other increases and bonuses for public sector workers. Notably, a S/200 bonus has been agreed upon through the Centralized Collective Bargaining Agreement 2024-2025. This bonus will benefit workers under the following regimes:

- Decreto Legislativo 728
- Decreto Legislativo 1057 (Contract Administration Services – CAS)
- Ley del Servicio Civil (30057)
- Ley de la Carrera Especial Publica Penitenciaria (29709)
- Ley del Servicio Diplomático de la República (28091)
This S/200 bonus, like the S/1,000 bonus, is a one-time payment and does not form part of regular remuneration or benefits.
