Pierce Brosnan Goes Berserk in Explosive MobLand Trailer

Pierce Brosnan returns as north London crime boss Conrad Harrigan in an action-packed new trailer for season two of the Paramount+ crime drama MobLand, according to reports released by Paramount+ and covered by the Press Association. Created by Northern Irish novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett, the 10-episode second season premieres globally on September 18.

Trailer Details and Plot Conflicts

According to the official trailer released by Paramount+, the new season plunges the Harrigan crime family into a severe crisis. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Harry Da Souza, the family “fixer” brought in to handle brewing emergencies. Sitting before Conrad and his mobster wife Maeve, played by Dame Helen Mirren, Da Souza warns that the family is caught in a “death spiral” following losses of fentanyl and heroin supply lines.

As fast-paced clips show gunshots, explosions, and home break-ins, Da Souza informs Conrad that the family is “surrounded by sharks, ripe for the picking.” When Conrad asks what lies ahead in a scene where he wears a bathrobe by a flickering fireplace, Da Souza replies simply: “The war.”

Cast Additions and Production Team

Alongside Brosnan, Mirren, and Hardy, season two features an expanded ensemble cast. Award-winning filmmaker Guy Ritchie serves as an executive producer on the series. Returning and new cast members include Paddy Considine of House Of The Dragon, Jasmine Jobson from Top Boy, Anson Boon from Pistol, Lara Pulver from Da Vinci’s Demons, and Toby Jones, known for Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

Other key characters facing shifting loyalties include Joanne Froggatt as Da Souza’s wife Jan, and Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan, who is shown in the trailer meeting secretly with international cartel boss Kat McAllister.
