A Post Graduate Fellow position is available at the Center for Counseling &. Psychological Health (CCHP) at UMass Amherst. The full-time, onsite role begins in mid-August and lasts one year, following the academic calendar.
Clinical Responsibilities
The fellow will provide supervised outpatient evaluation, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and psycho-social assessments to patients. This position is designed to continue training and provide supervision. The fellow will also participate in preventative mental health programs, leading workshops and contributing to training programs for interns.
Essential functions include providing evaluations and brief psychotherapies to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The fellow will also be expected to prepare written documentation of their activities and contribute to departmental goals for non-discrimination and a multicultural environment.
Qualifications and Application
Applicants must have successfully completed a pre-masters social operate or pre-doctoral psychology internship at CCHP. The position is open only to on-campus applicants – defined as Amherst campus non-student employees.
