Over 8,000 households across Lillestrøm, Lørenskog, Oslo, and Rælingen found themselves without power on Friday evening, according to reports from local utility provider Elvia. By 6:27 PM, more than 5,000 of these affected households were located in the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

At 7:17 PM, Elvia confirmed that the power outages had been resolved in Romerike and Oslo, and all affected households had their power restored. Earlier in the day, Elvia had announced that they were aware of the issue and were working to locate and fix the problem.

"I was in the middle of cooking dinner when the lights went out," said Oslo resident Anders Hansen. "I was a bit worried, but I’m glad they managed to get the power back on so quickly."

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of utility infrastructure and the impact of power outages on daily life. Thankfully, in this case, the issue was resolved swiftly with minimal disruption.
