Breaking News: Inmate with links to organised crime escapes Norwegian prison on Christmas Eve
In a significant security breach, a convicted man with suspected ties to organised crime escaped from Hustad Prison early on Christmas Eve. Ismail Ouhnou, a 35-year-old man of Moroccan origin, absconded from the facility at 6:15 AM, prompting a nationwide and international manhunt.
Authorities revealed that Ouhnou had slipped out of the prison, last seen near the main road towards Brynhallen, wearing a black jacket and red prison trousers. He had been serving time on remand for suspected fraud offences.
The announcement of Ouhnou’s identified name as a suspect came after an agreement between the police and the man’s legal representatives. Authorities urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately.
