In a significant move that signals shifts in the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) leadership, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Panglima TNI) General Agus Subiyanto has yielded eight two-star generals or Mayjen TNI, as they transition into retirement. The decision, outlined in Keputusan Panglima TNI No. Kep/1545/XII/2024 dated December 6, 2024, transforms the landscape of the TNI, particularly the Army (TNI AD). Here are the eight Mayjen TNI set to proceed into retirement:

    • Former Position: Dean of the Faculty of National Security at the Indonesian Defense University (Unhan)
    • New Position: Assigned to the Indonesian Military Headquarters (Mabes TNI AD) in preparation for retirement
  2. Mayjen TNI Moh Arif Hariyanto

    • Former Position: Permanent Lecturer at Unhan
    • New Position: Assigned to Mabes TNI AD for retirement proceedings
  3. Mayjen TNI Fulad

    • Former Position: Ideology Expert from the Indonesian National Defense University (Lemhannas)
    • New Position: Assigned to Mabes TNI AD in anticipation of retirement

    • Former Position: Special Staff to the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad)
