Russian Occupation Forces Push Towards Dvurechnaya Village in Kharkiv Region
Russian occupying forces are making a concerted effort to cross the Oskol River and seize control of Dvurechnaya village, located in theKharkiv region of Ukraine. This strategic move aims to strengthen their positions and hamper Ukrainian counteroffensives.
"They are trying to move in the middle of the night or whenever weather conditions allow," said Officer Eugene Vovnenko of the 40th Artillery Brigade, speaking to Suspilne. "Some groups are attempting to cross the Oskol River using boats, but we are tracking and eliminating them as soon as they try."
The strategic importance of Dvurechnaya village cannot be understated. Occupying this elevated location would provide Russian forces with a significant tactical advantage. Moreover, the village’s proximity to key infrastructure and supply routes makes it an attractive target for the advancing Russian troops.
Russians have adequate ammunition for shelling on the Kupiansk direction, regularly using 152mm caliber artillery shells to pound Ukrainian territories.
While Russian forces continue to press their advantage, the Ukrainian military remains vigilant. Using a combination of artillery fire and FPV drones, they are constantly monitoring and countering Russian advances.
"As soon as they try to transport troops from the left bank to the right, aiming for Dvurechnaya, we engage and destroy them en route to the contact line," Vovnenko explained.
In other news, military journalist Bogdan Miroshnikov previously reported that Russian forces had captured nearly half of Dvurechnaya village. Meanwhile, on the Херсон direction, Ukrainian forces are dealing with daily Russian assault attempts, with each side suffering losses. Additionally, Russian troops persistently bombard Hérsony and surrounding towns along the Dnieper River.
