"Ukraine Intercepts All ‘missiles-near-kryvyi-rih/” title=”Air Defense Downs Iskander Missiles Near Kryvyi Rih“>Iskander-K‘ Missiles Fired at Kryvyi Rih"
In a brazen attack, enemy forces launched three ‘Iskander-K’ ground-based missiles towards Kryvyi Rih at 14:10 on January 9. However, all three projectiles were successfully intercepted by the Air Command "East" of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to a statement released.
The precise and timely action of the Ukrainian air defense forces averted a potential disaster, once again demonstrating their unwavering commitment and prowess in safeguarding civilians and critical infrastructure.
Earlier, multiple fast-moving targets heading towards Kryvyi Rih had been reported, triggering an air raid warning in the region. Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Sergiy Lysak, later confirmed that three missiles had been launched against the area.
This is not the first time Kryvyi Rih has come under enemy fire. Just last month, on December 24, a hostile missile strike resulted in significant damage to a residential building.
