Two women plummeted into the Claromecó Creek on Saturday evening while riding a quad bike, resulting in serious injuries for one of them. The two tourists from Tandil, Gabriela Prieto, 34, and Mari Stella Zúñiga, 64, were identified as the individuals involved in the incident.
Prieto, the driver, suffered minor injuries, including cuts and bruises, while her passenger, Zúñiga, sustained a severe head injury and rib fracture, requiring urgent medical attention. Both women were transported to the Hospital Pirovano in Tres Arroyos following the accident.
The incident occurred when the pair was riding a yellow Blacktone 250 CC quad bike and fell from the edge of a 15-foot high cliff (approx. 5 meters) into the creek. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. LU24 was the first to report this story.
