Truck Accident Causes Major Delays on A2 Motorway near Eindhoven

A truck accident on Monday afternoon sparked significant delays on the A2 motorway near Eindhoven, with Rijkswaterstaat reporting wait times of up to 1.5 hours at one point. The incident occurred at exit 31, Knooppunt De Hogt, where two lanes in the direction of Maastricht had to be closed.

Drivers faced substantial delays, with additional travel time increasing rapidly, reaching over an hour and a half by around 1:30 PM, as reported by Rijkswaterstaat. However, traffic congestion eased swiftly after the reopening of the two lanes around quarter to two.

Emergency services, including a tow truck company, were dispatched to the scene to assist and manage the aftermath of the accident.
