Storm Alert: Buenos Aires and Six Provinces Braced for Severe Weather

The Service Meteorológico Nacional has issued a yellow alert for several regions across Argentina, warning of impending storms and hail. The affected areas include northwestern Buenos Aires, along with parts of Santa Fe, Córdoba, San Luis, Mendoza, San Juan, and La Rioja.

The latest advisory from the organization indicates that these regions will experience storms, some of which may be intense. These storms will be accompanied by heavy rain in short periods, wind gusts exceeding 60 km/h, occasional hail, and strong electrical activity. Accumulated precipitation is expected to range between 30 and 50 mm, with localized areas potentially receiving more.

In Córdoba, San Luis, and La Rioja, the alert has been upgraded to orange, indicating that storms may be severe. These areas can expect intense rain, strong electrical activity, hail, and wind gusts that could exceed 90 km/h. Accumulated precipitation is forecast to range between 40 and 60 mm, with localized areas potentially receiving more.
