Three houses along Professor Mulderslaan in Oudenbosch were evacuated on Sunday evening due to a major fire. The blaze started around 9 PM in the roof of one of the houses and quickly spread around 9:30 PM.
The residents of the evacuated houses were safely accommodated. Miraculously, no one was injured.
Firefighters struggled to bring the flames under control, resorting to deploying a high-reach appliance to combat the blaze. The fire resulted in the temporary closure of the street to traffic.
In a statement released around 12:30 AM on Monday, the Veiligheidsregio confirmed that fire crews would continue their efforts to extinguish the fire for several more hours.
