Bizarre Shepherd Rescue: Three Sheep Saved from Drowning by Dutch Firefighters
In an unusual rescue mission, Dutch firefighters sprung into action on Sunday afternoon to save three sheep that had ventured into the water at Jaagpad. The livestock found themselves in distress after being startled and chased by a dog into the water, a situation they couldn’t escape from on their own.
The emergency services arrived promptly at the scene and successfully managed to pull all three sheep out of the water. Two of the animals were unharmed and immediately released. However, the third sheep had suffered from hypothermia and required additional care. This unfortunate sheep was taken to a nearby shelter to recover.
The incident, while uncommon, highlights the diverse range of calls that firefighters respond to, often going beyond fighting fires. Their quick response and professional handling ensured the safety of the animals in this unique predicament.
