Breaking: Russian Strike Hits Kryvyi Rih; Residential Building Damaged, Injuries Reported

In a grim turn of events, a Russian strike has targeted the city of Kryvyi Rih, damaging a residential building and leaving several people injured. The attack occurred as the world marks the Christmas holiday, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

According to local officials, the strike, which involved the use of ballistic missiles, directly hit a four-story residential building housing 32 apartments. Emergency services are currently on the scene, and officials are bracing for more grim news.

Preliminary reports indicate that five people have been injured, with two requiring rescue from under the rubble. They are currently receiving medical attention. The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, shared images of the aftermath, condemning the attack as a continuation of Russia’s terror tactics against civilians.

In an update at 16:40, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that the number of injured has risen to six. Three of them, including two women aged 69 and 72, and a 78-year-old man, are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of 17:00, four people have been rescued from the rubble, and the total number of injured stands at seven, with one woman in a critical condition.
