Stavanger ICE Rink Near Museum Engulfed in flames

Stavanger, Norway – A fire engulfed an ice rink set up near the Petroleum Museum on Tuesday evening, sending visible flames and thick smoke into the air. The blaze was believed to have started in a trailer containing a gas cylinder and other unknown materials, which was parked adjacent to a tent that also caught fire.

The fire was intense but quickly brought under control, with no reported injuries, according to Trond Fosse, the incident commander from the fire department, as quoted by Stavanger Aftenblad. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Witnesses reported seeing flames leaping from the trailer and spreading to the nearby tent. The fire department arrived swiftly and managed to douse the flames, preventing any significant spread. Authorities are now focused on determining what ignited the fire.

In a controlled manner, gas is currently being vented from the cylinder, and the situation is under control, police confirmed. They also reported that there have been no reports of any injuries or harm to persons.
