Breaking News: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Toll Road Shooting Incident

Pandeglang, Indonesia – In a significant breakthrough, police have detained Agus Supriatna (AS), a prime suspect in the grisly shooting at a rest area on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. Agus was apprehended in the Pandeglang regency, authorities confirmed.

Inspector Alfian Yusuf, Head of Criminal Investigation at Pandeglang Police, announced the arrest. "Pandeglang Police have apprehended the suspect with the initials AS, who is believed to be the renter of the vehicle belonging to the deceased," he stated.

The arrestee, Agus Supriatna, was taken into custody from a lodging owned by his relative in Picung District, Pandeglang. He is suspected of being the first person to have rented the car that was later used in the shooting incident at Rest Area KM 45 on the Toll Road.

Agus Supriatna is now in custody and will be transferred to the Tangerang City Police for further investigation and legal proceedings. His involvement in the case and potential motive remain under investigation.

Earlier, the fatal shooting was linked to a suspected car theft involving a rental vehicle owned by the victims. The main suspect had been driving the Honda Brio belonging to the rental business when the shooting occurred. The suspect, however, was not the car’s renter but had acquired it through other means.

In a pursuit to recover his vehicle, the rental business owner, later identified as the deceased, tracked down the suspect’s location using GPS. The chase ended at Rest Area KM 45, where the altercation turned violent.

Brigadier General Baktiar Joko Mujiono, Chief of Tangerang City Police, described the incident. "The chain of events started with a suspected theft of a rental car from the victim’s family. The perpetrator used GPS to evade detection and sell the car in Pandeglang. After the victim located the car, a confrontation ensued."

In the exchange of fire, the rental business owner, identified as I.A (48), was fatally shot, and another individual, R (59), sustained injuries. The shooter, now identified as Agus Supriatna, fled the scene but was tracked down by police in Pandeglang.

The incident occurred at around 04:30 WIB on Thursday, January 2, 2024. Police identified four suspects involved in the case.

Sighted: North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un with Two Children, Supposedly His Daughters

Exclusive: Spy Agency Analyzes Footage of Kim Jong Un‘s Sister, Kim Yo Jong, with Two Children

Subhead:
North Korean leader’s sibling spotted with two young children, sparking speculation about her personal life

Article:

In a rare glimpse into the private life of one of North Korea’s most powerful figures, South Korean intelligence agencies have begun analyzing footage that appears to show Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of leader Kim Jong Un, with two children.

The undated video, obtained by the Associated Press (AP), captures Kim Yo Jong acompañado by two young children, a boy and a girl, attending a cultural performance in Pyongyang. The brother and sister duo could be seen walking hand in hand, an intimate display unusual for North Korea’s famously closed-off society.

Little is known about Kim Yo Jong’s personal life, with Pyongyang refusing to confirm whether she is married or has children. However, South Korea‘s National Intelligence Service (NIS) has previously hinted at the possibility, stating that they believe she has offspring. The children in the new video fall within the age range estimated by intelligence agencies.

The event attended by Kim Yo Jong is believed to be a performance held as part of the New Year celebrations. While participation in such events is typically expected of senior officials, the public rarely gets to see North Korea’s elite leaders accompanied by their family members, especially children.

Kim Jong Un himself has been seen with a daughter, Ju Ae, in state media releases, but experts caution that these appearances should be viewed with skepticism, citing the regime’s penchant for using such displays as propaganda to "humanize" the leadership.

"These kinds of appearances have been part of a trend since early 2022, showing high-level apparatchiks in Kim’s inner circle attending special events or contributing to disaster relief efforts with family members," said [expert’s name], an analyst with NK News.

Kim Yo Jong, born in 1988, is one of the sons of former leader Kim Jong Il. She studied in Switzerland alongside her brother, and South Korean intelligence first reported in 2015 that she had given birth. She later became pregnant again during a trip to South Korea in 2018 for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

Car Rental Bosses Ambushed and Shot in Tangerang-Merek Toll Dispute

Article:

In a shocking turn of events, two car rental bosses, identified by their initials IA (48) and R (59), were targeted in a shooting incident at the Rest Area of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, exiting Km 45. The motive behind the ambush was allegedly a dispute over a car rental vehicle that was supposedly hijacked.

The local police, led by IPDA Purbawa, revealed that the assailants, believed to number four, approached the scene using two vehicles. One of them, a Honda Brio, was later discovered abandoned following the shooting.

The altercation was sparked by IA and R’s attempts to confront the assailants over the suspected theft of their rental car. The rental bosses tracked down the vehicle, leading to a confrontation at the Rest Area. Witnesses reported that IA and R were shot multiple times, with IA being pronounced dead at the scene and R sustaining critical injuries.

According to police reports, the assailants opened fire with a 9mm pistol, leaving behind casings and the abandoned Honda Brio at the crime scene. The police are currently investigating the incident and pursuing the suspects.

This brazen ambush has sent shockwaves through the car rental industry, underscoring the need for enhanced security measures and vigilance among rental operators. The police have called upon anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward.

Unbelievable Resurrection: Indian Man Revives After Ambulance Hits Pothole

by Din

JAKARTA – In an astonishing turn of events, an 80-year-old man in India defied death after an ambulance carrying his seemingly lifeless body jolted over a pothole. Here’s how this incredible tale unfolded.

Last January, Darshan Singh Brar was pronounced dead due to heart complications in Haryana, India. As per procedure, his body was loaded into an ambulance and headed towards his home in Karnal for the final rituals. The family had already assembled, food and drinks arranged, and wood for the pyre procured, mourning their lost patriarch.

However, fate had another plan. As the ambulance navigated the road, it struck a deep pothole, causing a jolt that seemed to jolt Darshan back to life.

"His hand suddenly moved!" exclaimed a family member in the ambulance. They promptly instructed the driver to rush to the nearest hospital, NP Rawal, in Karnal. There, medical staff confirmed the unlikely resurrection: Darshan was indeed alive, though in critical condition.

Darshan’s stunned family, who had been preparing for his funeral, embraced this miracle. "It’s a blessing from God," said Balwan Singh, Darshan’s grandson. "We hope he will now become a better person."

Doctor Netrapal at NP Rawal confirmed the unbelievable turn of events. "When he was brought in, he was breathing, had a pulse, and blood pressure," he said. "We’re not sure what happened at the previous hospital, but this is a clear case of life finding a way."

This extraordinary story serves as a reminder that sometimes, life finds ways to surprise us, even in the most unexpected moments.

Woman Alleges Forced False Rape Report by Ex-husband; Fears Reopening of Closed Case

JAKARTA — Arimbi is speaking out, alleging she was forced by her ex-husband, Yudi, to file a false rape report in 2017, a case that has since been closed. She claims Yudi threatened and even assaulted her, making her fear the reopening of the case. Arimbi, in a video statement, said she was intimidated by Yudi into fabricating the report, which implicated a man identified only by the initial ‘D’. "When Y was not watching, I managed to tell the police that the report was fake," she revealed.

Arimbi also disclosed being held captive for three days by Yudi, during which she was coerced into claiming she was raped by ‘D’. She was fortunate to be rescued by the police. Arimbi believes Yudi’s actions stemmed from jealousy, as ‘D’ was a former partner. "He thought I was lying about being raped because I changed my statement," she explained, noting she initially gave a false statement out of fear for her life.

Yudi’s recent appearance at the Regional House of Representatives (DPR), Komisi III, has reignited the long-closed case. Arimbi’s lawyer, Muhammad Arnaz, plans to file a request with Komisi III for his client to give her account of events. Arnaz hopes the commission will provide a platform for Arimbi to clear her name and refute Yudi’s claims.

The couple divorced in 2018, ending all communication, including with their child, aged 12 at the time, who was also allegedly involved in the case.

Understanding KPK’s Role: Hasto Kristiyanto’s Part in the Harun Masiku Case

Breaking News: PDIP‘S Hasto Kristiyanto Named Suspect in Harun Masiku Case by KPK

Jakarta, DetikNews, Dec 25th, 2024 – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named Secretary General of the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, as a suspect in the Harun Masiku case. Hasto is alleged to be involved in two cases: bribery related to the electoral term swap (PAW) of Harun Masiku, and obstruction of justice in the KPK’s attempt to arrest Harun Masiku.

Background

The KPK has successfully convicted three individuals in the PAW Harun Masiku bribery case. They are former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan, and two of his aides, Agustiani Tio and Saeful Bahri. Wahyu was sentenced to 7 years in prison and is currently serving time in a Semarang jail. Meanwhile, Harun Masiku, who has been at large for five years, remains unidentified.

Hasto’s Role in the Cases

KPK chairman Setyo Budiyanto officially announced Hasto’s status as a suspect at the KPK headquarters in Jakarta on Dec 24th, 2024. Setyo revealed Hasto’s critical role in the two cases. Here are the details:

1. Hasto Attempted to Elect Harun as DPR Member

Hasto’s alleged involvement began when he changed Harun’s electoral district from his home region of South Sulawesi to Dapil 1 South Sumatra for the 2019 legislative elections. "Hasto worked with Harun and others to bribe Wahyu Setiawan and Agustiani Tio. Hasto moved Harun from his home district of South Sulawesi to Dapil 1 South Sumatra," said Setyo.

Harun received 5,878 votes, significantly fewer than PDIP’s Rizky Aprilia who secured 44,402 votes. Rizky was expected to replace the late PDIP member Nazaruddin Kiemas. Setyo believes Hasto attempted to prevent Rizky from winning, even trying to persuade Rizky to withdraw and endorse Harun. After these efforts failed, Hasto allegedly bribed Wahyu Setiawan.

2. Hasto Met Wahyu Setiawan

Hasto reportedly met with Wahyu Setiawan in August 2019 to discuss two proposals made by Hasto.

The KPK’s investigation is ongoing. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

25,000 Syrian Refugees in Turkey Return Home Amidst Assad’s Offensive

Turkey Celebrates as over 25,000 Syrian Refugees Return Home Following Assad‘s Ousting

Article:

ANKARA — In a significant development that has brought both relief and jubilation to Turkey, over 25,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their homeland in just 15 days, marking a major repatriation push since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. This dramatic turn of events has been catalyzed by the unexpected ousting of Assad by the backed by Turkey-backed rebel forces of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

The Afloat (AFP) agency reported on Tuesday (24/12/2024) that Turkey has been the prime sanctuary for Syrians fleeing the civil war at home, providing refuge to almost 3 million people since the conflict began in 2011. However, Turkey’s resources have been stretched thin, and its government, headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has been searching for a feasible solution to repatriate its Syrian guests for some time.

In a move that underscores the magnitude and urgency of these developments, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya of Turkey announced in an interview with the state-owned Anadolu Agency, "The number of Syrians returning to their homeland has surpassed 25,000 over the past fortnight alone."

Turkish authorities, now closely associated with the fledgling leadership of Syria, have been actively spearheading the reptriation campaign. They eagerly anticipate that this shift in governance in Damascus would facilitate the smooth return of even more refugees who have been craving to get back to their roots.

Furthermore, Yerlikaya revealed further plans to manage this influx effectively. He specified that the Immigration Office would open branches in all Turkish embassies and consulates in both Damascus and Aleppo. Their primary function will be to chronicle the record of returning Syrians. An additional step toward normalization, Turkish diplomatic missions resumed operations in both cities, scarcely a week post-Assad’s ousting, after keeping them closed throughout the Syrian crisis.

In yet another encouraging announcement, Yerlikaya shared President Erdogan’s directive to prepare a regulation stipulating that a member of every Syrian family returning home would be provided with the facility to travel to and from three times between the 1st of January to the 1st of August in 2025. A further boon, returning families would be at liberty to convey their personal items and vehicles, facilitating a comfortable transition back home.

In congruence with the recent developments in Syria, viewers can also gain insights from [this video][1]—a compelling look into the significant role played by the Israeli defense forces in Syria’s political evolution.

Unraveling the Role of PDIP’s Secretary General in the Harun Masiku Case: KPK’s Revelations

by Chief Editor December 24, 2024
written by Chief Editor

Breaking: KPK Names PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto as Suspect in PAW Harun Masiku Vote-Buying Scandal

In a major development, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named Secretary General of the PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, as a suspect in the vote-buying case involving the parliamentary seat (PAW) of Harun Masiku.

KPK Chairman, Setyo Budiyanto, detailed Hasto’s crucial role in the scam during a press conference at the KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (24/2/2024). "Hasto, along with Harun Masiku and their accomplices, gave bribes to Wahyu Setiawan and Agus Setiani. First, Hasto placed Harun Masiku on the PDIP electoral list for South Sumatra, despite him originating from South Sulawesi’s Toraja region," Setyo explained.

During the 2019 legislative elections, Harun Masiku received 5,878 votes, significantly fewer than fellow PDIP candidate Rizky Aprilia, who garnered 44,402 votes. In that scenario, Rizky was expected to replace the late PDIP legislator Nazarudin Kiemas.

KPK alleges that Hasto actively worked to obstruct Rizky’s election as a PDIP legislator. He took several steps to prevent Nazarudin’s seat from being filled by Rizky, attempting to replace her with Harun Masiku.

"Hasto parallely tried to convince Rizky to step down, allowing Harun to take her place. However, Rizky refused," Setyo clarified.

The commission also found evidence suggesting Hasto asked Saeful Bahri to meet Rizky in Singapore to convince her to resign. This effort, too, proved unsuccessful.

Unable to secure Rizky’s resignation, Hasto reportedly resorted to bribery, offering money to then-KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.

"Hasto worked with Harun Masiku, Saeful Bahri, and DTI in bribing Wahyu Setiawan and Agustinus Tiu," Setyo concluded.
