In a shocking turn of events, a 20-year-old from the village of Zamfirovo, Berkovitsa municipality, and his companions attacked a 56-year-old snowplow driver, leaving him injured. According to the Montana police, the incident occurred after a minor car accident.
Earlier yesterday, around 8:45 AM, a young man driving a compact car collided with two snowplows – a "MAN" and a "Mercedes" – on the road between the villages of Zamfirovo and Pyrlichovo. Following the accident, the young man, who was later found to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs, reportedly assaulted one of the snowplow drivers.
The arrested youth had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.32 promille and tested positive for cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines, MDA, and benzodiazepines. Two other individuals, both 21 years old, were also arrested for their involvement in the assault.
The injured snowplow driver was taken to the hospital and later discharged after receiving medical treatment.
Two pretrial proceedings have been initiated in the case. The details of the incident are still under investigation.
