Dubai‘s Federal Tax Authority Holds Strategic Partners Meeting, Honors Over 60 Public and Private Sector Partners
The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in Dubai recently hosted its second Strategic Partners Meeting for 2024, recognizing over 60 strategic partners from both the public and private sectors. Khalid Ali Bostani, Director-General of the FTA,Asserted that 2024 has been a significant year in the Authority’s journey, marked by the successful implementation of numerous development and upgrade projects for its services, aligning with the UAE’s digital transformation strategy. The year also saw an expansion in electronic linkage with partners, enhancing service integration and facilitating information exchange, along with substantial progress in the implementation of the Corporate Tax, with hundreds of thousands of businesses registered under the tax through comprehensive awareness campaigns.
Bostani highlighted the FTA’s continuous launch and implementation of diverse digital transformation projects and initiatives in the tax sector, keeping pace with the government’s smart transformation strategy for all services. These efforts aim to digitize processes, reduce bureaucracy, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
The FTA’s plans have shown promising results in achieving their target of implementing 70 paperless transactions in their services within the upcoming phase.
The UAE’s tax system, with its advanced legal, administrative, and technological frameworks, keeps pace with local and global changes and encourages seamless self-compliance through fully electronic mechanisms adhering to the highest standards. Bostani praised the successful strategic partnerships established by the FTA over the past seven years, characterized by synergy and positive interaction with both government and private sectors.
He emphasized the FTA’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with all stakeholders to successfully implement its strategic and operational plans over the next two years. Key objectives include developing appropriate and efficient tax policies, enhancing procedural systems, and intensifying efforts to combat tax evasion.
Bostani extended his appreciation and thanks to the representatives of the FTA’s strategic partners for their efforts and constructive contributions towards elevating the UAE’s profile and leadership.
