The transition follows a major shift in Dvarionas’s professional life in June, when his long-running path with Radio SWH concluded after more than two decades. According to statements published by LA.LV, the musician and radio personality noted that he had not planned to leave the station, but a newly offered cooperation model no longer included his role hosting the programs “Braucamlaiks” and “TOP 20,” nor his behind-the-scenes work as the music editor for “Radio SWH Rock.” Dvarionas shared in social media posts reported by LA.LV that radio had been his dream job since childhood, starting with listening to Radio Luxemburg under the covers at age 10 or 12, followed by early career steps at regional stations including Kuldīgu Radio, Radio Skala, and Kurzemes Radio before joining Radio SWH in 2002.
