Subheading: AHN Provincial Head, Eko Wibowo, Urges President Prabowo to Expedite Honorer teachers‘ Conversion to ASN PPPK

Body:

In a recent development, the Principal Education Officer Exam (PPPK) Level 1 results have revealed a high number of failures among R3, or honorer teachers, who are part of the State Civil Apparatus Database (BKN). The Aliansi Honorer Nasional’s (AHN) Provincial Head, Eko Wibowo, expressed concern about the scenario, urging President Prabowo Subianto to intervene and expedite the conversion of honorer teachers into ASN PPPK.

The AHN Provincial Head in Riau, Eko Wibowo, conveyed his congratulations to the non-ASN teachers who passed the PPPK 2024. However, he also highlighted another pressing issue—the fate of honorer teachers in the BKN database who did not receive training due to low rankings. "All honorer teachers in the BKN database who have not passed Level 1 should be enrolled in PPPK and undergo training by the Riau Provincial Government," said Ekowi, as he is commonly known.

Ekowi emphasized the importance of completing this process by the end of 2025, ensuring that all honorer teachers in Riau become ASN PPPK. He also appealed to President Prabowo to direct Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Rini Widyantini to swiftly finalize the conversion of honorer teachers into ASN PPPK this year.

He suggested that the teachers should not be required to take any further tests, as their lack of success in the PPPK 2024 formative process was due to insufficient training. Despite the significant number of failures among honorer teachers, schools continue to grapple with a shortage of educators.
