Traffix XR: Cities of Tomorrow launches on Meta Quest on October 15

Traffix XR: Cities of Tomorrow arrives on Meta Quest 3, 3S, and Quest Pro on October 15, bringing a mixed-reality traffic puzzle to headsets through developer Infinity Games. The title tasks players with connecting road tiles to landmarks to maintain traffic flow while procedural cities grow around the established networks.

Traffic Management Coming to Quest 3

Infinity Games scheduled the launch of Traffix XR: Cities of Tomorrow for October 15 on Quest 3, 3S, and Quest Pro. The developers describe the software as a relaxed mixed-reality traffic puzzle where users connect road tiles to landmarks to make traffic flow and watch cities grow procedurally around their networks. Players can experience the gameplay in either mixed reality or full VR modes.

Mechanics require planning, placing, erasing, and redirecting roads to link landmarks across multiple environments. As traffic moves between locations, homes, towers, bridges, and subways emerge around the active network. UploadVR reported that players also utilize natural hand motions to sweep snow, clear roads, and blow away sand.

UploadVR was granted access to a pre-release build of the software ahead of the October 15 launch date. A full review will follow when Traffix XR: Cities of Tomorrow becomes available on Quest headsets.

Comparison to Flat Screen Precedents

UploadVR noted that the trailer for Traffix XR resembles Mini Motorways, a flat-screen traffic management game that has drawn extensive playtime from players.
