Man Dies After Falling Out of Girlfriend’s Car; Wife Demands Rs 70 Lakh Compensation
A Chinese man’s reckless decision to drink and drive with his girlfriend ended tragically when he fell out of her car, leading to his death. Now, his wife is demanding compensation of Rs 70 lakh.
What Happened?
Wang, who was drunk, was not wearing a seatbelt when he fell out of his girlfriend’s moving car. Despite his girlfriend taking him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries due to a brain hemorrhage, 24 hours later.
The Compensation Demand
Wang’s wife found out about her husband’s infidelity and the accident only after his death. She promptly approached the girlfriend, demanding Rs 70 lakh (approximately 60 lakh Yuan) as compensation.
The Court’s Decision
The court, however, ruled against the wife, stating that the girlfriend was not at fault. The accident occurred due to Wang’s negligence in not wearing his seatbelt. Instead, the court ordered the girlfriend to pay Rs 8 lakh (about 7.2 lakh Yuan) as compensation.
