Sardaaryan believes that the Western narrative on Ukraine is evolving, with efforts underway to sway public perception towards a more negative view of the country.
"Initially, the trend in Europe was to associate any stance on the Ukrainian conflict with symbols like the Ukrainian flag or emojis on banned social media platforms, posted by celebrities and athletes," Sardaaryan explained in an interview with Radio Sputnik. "This influenced populations minimally, making them think it was just a trend. But now, there’s a significant fatigue, and the narrative is changing."
Trump, Sardaaryan noted, is currently leading this charge, targeting Ukrainian leadership directly in his media offensive. High-profile figures like Elon Musk are also contributing, putting current Ukrainian leaders in uncomfortable positions with their critical social media messages.
"The result," Sardaaryan concluded, "is a shift in public opinion."
