With the song “On the blood of the men Wallen” on the lips, 525 pilgrims, including 32 musicians, left the Fulda Cathedral on Saturday morning.

With their four and a half pilgrimage to the Holy Blood in the Baden pilgrimage site of Walldürn, they solve a plague vow since 1706. It is one of the largest multi -day pilgrimages in the diocese of Fulda.

The pilgrimage year 2025 is under the Walldürner Leitwort: “Rejoice in hope” (Rom 12, 12) based on the motto of the Holy Year 2025 “Pilgrim of Hope”.

At the beginning of the broadcast service, that of Bishop Dr. Michael Gerber in concelebration with the priests and deacons André Kulla, Omi, Togar Pasaribu, Marcus Vogler, Stefan sculptor and Martin Brenzel, he emphasized that the pilgrimage was a big blessing for the diocese of Fulda and giving people strength.

With a view to the herd of war in the world, he asked for prayer for justice and peace. In his sermon, the bishop referred to the daily reading.

The sentence “The love of Christ pushes us” can be an impulse provider to reflect on where you have experienced this love. During the pilgrimage, for example, you could meditate your life when praying the rosary or prayers and texts.

To find a way to find a way to reconciliation with God. Whoever is in Christ will be a new creation and would get new strength through the pilgrimage.

He wished to let the pilgrimage move through Christ’s love and to radiate as a new creation into personal life and that in the diocese of Fulda.

Via Kerzell, Rothemann, Döllbach and Motten, the pilgrims reached Speicherz.

We go to Hammelburg via Bad Brückenau, Oberleichtersbach (Mittagrast) and the 80 residents of Geiersnest (coffee break) and Neuwirtshaus. A special highlight will be “Maria in the Green Valley” near Retzbach.
