In a sad turn of events, a woman in her 60s was declared dead after a rescue operation that had been underway since Tuesday morning. The discovery was made after an extensive search involving emergency services and volunteers in the area.

The woman, who had been reported missing from her home, was last seen on Monday morning around 9:00 AM. The police launched a.Search operation around 10:40 AM, enlisting the help of volunteers at 1:30 PM. The unfortunate discovery was made by volunteer searchers at around 4:00 PM, when she was found beneath a snowdrift.

Vegar Dale Møane, the operations leader at the South-East Police District, confirmed the tragic news. "We found a woman who matched the description of the missing person," he stated. "Despite immediate first aid, unfortunately, she was declared dead."

The cause of death is not immediately apparent, and the police have not ruled out any possibilities. "We have no indications at this time that suggest this is a suspicious death," Møane added.

The woman’s family has been informed, and they are being supported by emergency services during this difficult time.
