Heavy Chain-Collision Closes Road After Gorița Village En Route to Varna; One Fatality, Five Injured
A severe chain-reaction collision has forced the closure of the road after Gorița village, heading towards Varna, the police have reported. The incident occurred around 13:00 hours near the village on kilometer 34 of the Rousse-Varna highway.
Sadly, the collision resulted in the death of one woman, and five individuals were hospitalized for further examination. According to initial information, the crash occurred after one of the cars entered the opposing lane, leading to a collision with the other vehicles involved.
Traffic in the area is now being diverted via an alternative route through Stară Oryahovo, Dolni Chiflik, Provadiya, and Aitos. Police investigators are currently on the scene, piecing together the cause of the incident.
Meanwhile, a separate accident occurred on the Ruse-Byala road, where a snowplow and a truck collided. The cause of that incident was reportedly a Turkish-registered cargo vehicle entering the oncoming lane.
