Oslo, Norway – A 30-year-old woman is in stable condition after being struck by a tram in Oslo’s Prindsens gate on Wednesday. The incident occurred when the woman walked into the path of the moving vehicle, according to police reports.
"She was not trapped under the tram but was walking alongside the tram driver when the incident happened," said Roy Langengen, operations leader at Oslo’s police department.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, where they examined the woman before transporting her to the hospital for further evaluation. She is believed to have suffered minor injuries.
"Preliminary reports suggest she is complaining of pain in one of her legs," Oslo police confirmed.
Following the incident, police interviewed the tram driver and witnesses. Initial reports indicate that the woman inadvertently stepped onto the tracks, leading to the collision.
