Brace for Heavy Rains as Bulgaria Enters Yellow Weather Alert
Bulgaria kicks off the new week with a yellow weather warning, as intense rain threatens to drench the country. The.warning was issued by the country’s National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), advising residents to prepare for the incoming downpour.
According to the NIMH, the rainstorm is expected to break through the country’s western border on Monday, gradually engulfing the entire territory by Tuesday. The southeastern regions may experience the heaviest showers, with expected rainfall volumes reaching up to 20 liters per square meter within 24 hours.
The stormy weather may also bring strong gusts, posing additional risks for outdoor activities and travel. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and plan their routes accordingly.
With the heavy rains forecasted to subside by Wednesday, the NIMH advises the public to stay updated on the changing weather conditions and act promptly to protect lives and property.
