Bulgarian News Editor Facing Death Threat Files Police Report
In a chilling turn of events, Zhoro Ignatov, the chief editor of "Sudyben Spor," has filed a police report after receiving a death threat. While he had previously faced verbal attacks, the situation has now escalated, with a clear resolution in sight.
In the final episode of the year, host Romina Tashevska announced that the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sliven has filed a charge of threatening a murder against Gencho Genov. Genov admitted to making the threat, stating he would "break his head" and "cut it off" when Ignatov was not wearing a microphone. The court sentenced Genov to seven months of probation and ordered him to cover the legal costs.
Tashevska hinted that Ignatov plans to file a civil lawsuit, which she believes should serve as an example to others.
