In a disturbing turn of events, the vaping device belonging to a deceased teenager in Pleven has tested positive for hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), a potent psychoactive compound found in marihuana and other cannabis plants. This revelation was announced by Vladimir Nikolov, Pleven’s Regional Prosecutor, at a press briefing today.

HHC is a member of the cannabinoid family, composed of compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors in the body. Mr. Nikolov confirmed that the substance is classified as a high-risk narcotic, possession of which is illegal under Bulgarian law. "This is a serious issue, and we will spare no effort to thoroughly and impartially investigate the matter," he stated, as reported by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

The prosecutors have initiated a comprehensive medical and toxicological examination to ascertain the impact of the substance on the teenager’s physical and mental health. This probe aims to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the youngster’s demise.
