Security Guard at Sofia Emergency Medical Center Badly Beaten, Attackers Arrested

A 59-year-old security guard at the Central Hospital for Emergency Medicine in Sofia was assaulted and left with severe injuries after an ilk herbivore attack on Wednesday evening. The Guard, who was on duty, was attacked around 22:30 and the assailants fled the scene before police arrived. However, authorities later apprehended the attackers.

The victim was rushed to the emergency ward of St. George University Hospital (Pirogov) with a disfiguring facial injury, including a contusion and multiple broken teeth. Medical staff confirmed that the guard was treated and discharged with instructions for at-home recovery.

Two individuals, a man and a woman, both aged between 30 and 40, were arrested by police. CCTV footage showed both suspects entering the facility through the turnstiles and subsequently assaulting the guard with fists and even a chair. The security staff and management expressed their shock and outrage at this senseless attack.

This incident comes on the heels of another violent incident where a man was stabbed and later died in Starozagorske.
