Alexandrovska Tomb to Close for a Week Due to Electrical Repair Works
The historic Alexandrovska Tomb in the village of Alexandrovo, Haskovo region, will be temporarily closed to visitors for a week, starting from Monday, May 15th. The reason for this unexpected closure is the need for urgent repair works on the electrical network in the village.
The closure will last for seven days, during which the museum authorities will carry out essential maintenance to ensure the safety and integrity of the tomb’s exhibits. This includes repairing damaged electrical circuits and replacing outdated equipment.
The Alexandrovska Tomb, a national historical monument, is famous for its Thracian treasures and unique architecture. It attracts thousands of tourists each year, and its closure will undoubtedly affect the local tourism industry. However, officials assure visitors that the temporary closure is necessary to preserve and protect the tomb’s historical and cultural significance.
While the tomb is closed, visitors are encouraged to explore other nearby historical sites and attractions. The Alexandrovo Kashta Museum, located just a short distance away, offers a fascinating glimpse into the life and culture of the Thracian people.
The Alexandrovska Tomb is expected to reopen to the public on Monday, May 22nd, following the completion of the repair works.
