Brussels Police Arrest Two Teens Over Vicious Firework Attack that Maimed 13-Year-Old Girl

In a shocking turn of events, Brussels police have apprehended two young boys suspected of involvement in a firework incident that left a 13-year-old girl with severe hand injuries. The girl, a resident of the Belgian capital, lost several fingers in the brutal attack.

The gruesome incident occurred at the girl’s home in early November when someone threw a powerful firework through her window. The firework exploded in the kitchen, and in an attempted to remove it, the firework detonated in her hand. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where surgeons worked tirelessly to save her fingers, but unfortunately, several had to be amputated.

Belgian media outlets, citing the public prosecutor’s office, report that the police identified two underage boys during their investigation. The boys were taken into custody at the end of last week. A youth judge has ordered their placement in a community institution, a specialized facility for troubled youth. Due to their minor status, further details about the boys have not been released.

This horrific event serves as a grim reminder of the dangers associated with fireworks and the consequences of irresponsible behavior. Our thoughts are with the young girl and her family as they continue to cope with this life-altering ordeal.
