Kuwait Imposes Travel Ban on Expats Skipping Biometric Registration

Kuwait’s General Department of Criminal Evidence has announced that expatriates who have failed to complete their biometric registration procedures will face a travel ban. First Lieutenant Talal Al-Khalidi, an official from the department, made this announcement, highlighting the seriousness of the measure.

The deadline for expats to complete these biometric procedures, which was initially set to December 31, 2024, has passed. Consequently, the banking transactions of those who have not completed the registration have been frozen. Now, the Kuwaiti authorities are set to impose the travel ban as a stern warning and final step in this process.

Expatriates in Kuwait are urged to promptly complete their biometric registration to avoid any disruptions in their residence status and potential travel restrictions.
