Army Officer, 25, Driving Under the Influence of Cocaine Detained Near Blagoevgrad
A 25-year-old military officer from the town of Sandanski was apprehended while driving under the influence of cocaine on the E-79 highway. Yesterday, on his way to Sofia, D. Borisov was stopped for a routine check near the "Brezhani" junction, in the operational district of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry in Blagoevgrad, as reported by Struma News.
During the inspection, Borisov tested negative for alcohol but showed positive results for cocaine use. Despite displaying his military ID, the inspecting officers did not show leniency. Borisov was taken into police custody and later handed over to the military prosecution.
Serving at the regiment in Stara Zagora, Borisov had completing his military academy training three years ago and had returned to Sandanski for the holidays.
