Breaking: Multiple Vehicles Ablaze in Rælingen; Residents Urged to Stay Indoors
At 12:20 AM, the fire department was alerted to a vehicle blaze in Blomstervegen, Rælingen. The police have also confirmed the incident. Emergency services are en route, with reports suggesting two vehicles are alight, pose potential risk to nearby buildings. Residents are advised to keep a safe distance and make way for emergency services.
Just 10 minutes later, operations leader of the East Police District, Terje Nordang, provided an update. The police now report that three vehicles have been engulfed by flames. Authorities are also urging residents in the area to close their windows due to heavy smoke.
At 12:42 AM, the fire department reported they had gained control of the situation.
Operations leader Nordang stated that the police currently have no information regarding the cause of the fire.
Vaktleder at the East 110-control center, Espen Stabell, confirmed that two of the vehicles involved were electric vehicles.
Stabell reassured that, beyond the three affected vehicles, there had been no spread to other vehicles or buildings.
