Colima’s Health Secretariat Reports 64% Progress in Influenza Vaccination Campaign, Over 124,000 Doses Administered

The Secretariat of Health of the State Government of Colima has announced that as of December 13, the institutions under the Health Sector have achieved a 64% progress in the influenza vaccination campaign, administering a total of 124,193 doses. The goal of this campaign is to vaccinate 194,430 individuals within the target population, including children and at-risk adults.
While the campaign is making steady progress, the Secretariat highlighted that the group with the lowest vaccination rate is children and adolescents aged 6 to 59 months, the primary target for this campaign. They urged parents and guardians to accompany their children to the nearest Health Center to receive the vaccine.
This year’s campaign is vaccinating adults aged 60 and over, pregnant women, healthcare personnel, and individuals aged 5 to 59 with comorbidities. The Secretariat noted that this campaign is being carried out through house-to-house visits by vaccination teams, fixed and semi-fixed modules, and in educational institutions. This is part of the ongoing effort to maintain vaccination-preventable diseases under control, with the aim of eliminating and eradicating them.
The semi-fixed vaccination posts will remain open for the following locations and timings:
- Jurisdiction 1: Avenue San Fernando corner Ignacio Sandoval and Soriana, both from Monday to Saturday, 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Zentralia from Sunday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Jurisdiction 2 in Tecomán: Revolution Street (northern end) from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Cocoteros No. 960, Colonia Palma Real, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In Armería, the/posts will be set up at the main garden on Sundays, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Jurisdiction 3: Plaza Comercial Manzanillo, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Bodega Aurrerá Salagua, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Mercado 5 de Mayo, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Plaza Comercial Manzanillo and Bodega Aurrerá Salagua, Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The Secretariat of Health reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the health and well-being of Colima’s residents through proactive vaccination campaigns.
