Explosion Targets Pro-Kremlin Official in Occupied Berdyansk
In the Ukrainian city of Berdyansk, currently under Russian occupation, the car of local pro-Kremlin administrator Vitaly Nechata was blown up early this morning. The local Ukrainian media outlets report that Nechata sustained injuries and was subsequently hospitalized. However, his current condition remains officially unconfirmed.
The blast occurred in the courtyard of his residence, leaving the city’s residents shaken. This incident adds to a growing list of attacks targeting pro-Russian collaborators and officials serving in the Russian-backed administrations on occupied Ukrainian territories. While Moscow typically blames these incidents on Ukrainian special services, the latter often refrain from taking direct responsibility.
As the conflict in Ukraine persists, so does the risk faced by those aligned with the Russian occupation forces. The situation in Berdyansk and other occupied areas remains tense, with local sources reporting an increase in anti-Russian sentiment.
