Sidama Death Toll Climbs to 71: Spokesperson
The number of fatalities following the devastating incident in Sidama has risen to 71, a regional government spokesperson has confirmed to Reuters. Of the deceased, 68 are men, and 3 are women.
Wosenyeleh Simion, the government spokesperson, also disclosed that five critically injured individuals are currently under intensive care at Bona General Hospital.
The toll comes as an update from an earlier communication from the regional communication office that reported 60 fatalities.
