Death Notice of Christopher (Noel) Carroll (Navan Road, Dublin)

Christopher (Noel) Carroll, formerly of Cork City and a resident of Navan Road, Dublin 7, passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2026, following a long illness. He was surrounded by family at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross, at the time of his death.

A Life of Service and Family

Mr. Carroll’s life included service with The Observer Corps, McKee Barracks and the Office of Public Works, including a period at Farmleigh Estate. Known as “Zeb” Carroll to his comrades in The Defence Forces, he is remembered fondly by a wide circle of friends and colleagues.

He is predeceased by his parents, Hannah & Patrick Carroll, his sister Margaret, and brothers John, William, Martin, and Gerard, as well as his granddaughter, Katelynn. He is survived by his children Derek, Angelina, Christopher, Michael, Darina, and Zara, along with their mother Patricia. He also leaves behind grandchildren Courtney, Tori, Zack, and Rhían, as well as sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother Francis, sister Sheila, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing will take place at Bourke’s Funeral Home, 71 Queen Street, Dublin 7, from 3pm to 5pm on Monday, May 4th. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday morning at 11am in The Church of the Sacred Heart, (The Garrison Church), Arbour Hill, followed by burial at Goldenbridge Cemetery.
