Man in his 30s found dead in Moss on Boxing Day; two taken into custody

A 34-year-old man was found dead in his Moss apartment on Boxing Day, with police classifying the death as ‘suspicious’. The grim discovery was made around 3:30 PM on Wednesday, with police subsequently revealing that the theory of homicide had been significantly weakened.

In a surprising turn, police have confirmed that two individuals are now in custody, facing charges of gross bodily harm resulting in death. The arrests were made on Friday, with police Investigator Eirik Skjeldrum stating that both individuals are também named suspects in an unrelated incident of bodily harm that occurred on the same evening.

None of the suspects have admitted guilt, though they have been cooperative with investigators. Police have not ruled out the possibility of further arrests or changes in the charges against the current suspects.

Police are currently working to identify additional individuals who were present at the scene of the crime during the relevant timeframe. They have also stated that both the motive behind the attack and the sequence of events leading up to the man’s death remain unclear.

Moss police confirmed that they received multiple reports of commotion and a noisy gathering at the address in question on the night of the incident. However, they did not find sufficient grounds to intervene at the time.

This is a developing story. VG will provide more information as it becomes available.
