Fatal Shooting in Recoleta: Gunman Kills Man in Broad Daylight as He Shopped at a Kiosk

An appalling incident occurred during the early hours of Thursday, December 12, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta. A man was shot dead inside a kiosk by another person who approached him and fired three shots without any exchange of words. The shooting took place at a store on Paraguay Street, between Agüero and Laprida. The Buenos Aires City Forensic Police continue to investigate at the scene, but the motives behind the crime remain unknown.

Witnesses reported that the attacker approached the victim from behind and opened fire, then fled on foot. The identity of the victim, who suffered fatal wounds, has not been disclosed. The case is being investigated by prosecutor Marcelo Roma, who has opened a homicidio investigation.

As he dismounted, he reached for his revolver and opened fire, killing one of the suspects and wounding the other, who then escaped.
