A 30-year-old man was rushed to Yambol Hospital after a pyrotechnic device malfunctions, embedding a chute into his chest and causing severe burns. This incident is one of six fireworks-related injuries reported in the area following New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The local hospital admitted five patients with varying injuries. A seven-year-old child was airlifted to Sofia’s "Pirogov" Hospital for urgent plastic surgery. The remaining three patients, including a 14-year-old child, a 25-year-old man, and another 30-year-old, are undergoing treatment at Yambol’s Regional Hospital. They sustained deep lacerations on their hands, with one patient losing a finger, according to hospital sources.
