Four Top ASL Novara Directors Honored as They Step Down; New Director of Statistics Named for 2025
BORGOMANERO, ITALY – The ASL Novara celebrated the careers of four esteemed directors who recently stepped down or are set to leave their positions, honoring them with special awards. Dr. Angelo Penna, the general director of ASL Novara, presented the awards in the aula magna of the Santissima Trinità Hospital in Borgomanero.
The recipients included:
- Dr. Angela Maria Allegra, former head of the Igiene e assistenza veterinaria unit, focusing on the hygiene of food products of animal origin and their derivatives.
- Dr. Paola Bossi, who led the interaziendale structure for mental health and psychiatry, serving the Southern area.
- Dr. Giorgio Monesi, the former head of the Dipartimento chirurgico and the Urologia structure, lauded for his professionalism in safeguarding public health.
- Dr. Franco Tinelli, the former director of the Dipartimento di prevenzione and the Igiene e assistenza veterinaria structure.
Meanwhile, ASL Novara has kicked off its 2025 recruitment drive, with Dr. Andrea Nucera set to take over as the new statistical director of the Epidemiologia structure starting January 1, 2025. With a background in statistical medicine and epidemiology, Nucera’s work has contributed significantly to population surveillance and COVID-19 monitoring within the Italian healthcare system.
The event marked a fitting send-off for the retiring directors and a warm welcome for Dr. Nucera, signifying the continued dedication of ASL Novara to excellence and public health.
