Jakarta, Indonesia – President Prabowo Subianto‘s Free Health Screening Program to Kick Off in Early 2025: A Birthday Gift for Indonesians
Mark your calendars for early 2025 as President Prabowo Subianto’s much-anticipated free health screening program is set to commence. The Communications Office of the Presidential Palace (KSP) has announced that this nationwide initiative will be a special birthday present to Indonesian citizens born early in the year.
"Those who are scheduled to receive the service and have a birthday at the beginning of 2025 will get a special birthday gift from President Prabowo," said Dedek Prayudi, the KSP’s spokesperson, in an official statement released on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Infrastructure-wise, the health ministry is optimistic about an early rollout, given that many regions are already prepared. There are two ways to access this free service: through the SATU SEHAT mobile app for smartphone users or by visiting the nearest clinic or healthcare facility.
" registration through the SATU SEHAT mobile app is recommended. The rollout is planned for the start of the year," said Aji Muhawarman, the head of the Ministry of Health’s Communication and Public Service Bureau, in an interview with detikcom on Sunday, January 5, 2024.
Citizens can expect notifications before, during, and after their birthday month. Those without smartphones can directly visit their nearest clinic, regardless of their home address.
Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, the director of Disease Prevention and Control at the Ministry of Health, previously revealed that the screening program will cover 75 types of diseases or health problems. Initially focusing on 14 diseases, the initiative has been expanded to include additional examinations such as kidney, talasemia, and eye tests, making it inclusive for all age groups, from infants to seniors.
