Title: Sofia Opens TDK Boulevard for Traffic, Operates Four-Way Intersections
Effective from 00:00 hours on December 23, 2024, the Todor Kableshkov Boulevard will reopen for traffic, extending from Louis Ayer Street to Cherni Vrah Boulevard. The municipality announces that the boulevard will now accommodate three lanes in the eastbound direction (towards Mladost) from Louis Ayer Street to Cherni Vrah Boulevard, and three lanes in the westbound direction (towards Borovo) from Cherni Vrah Boulevard to Louis Ayer Street.
Three four-way intersections have been organized to facilitate traffic flow in all four directions. These junctions include the intersections of Todor Kableshkov Boulevard with Louis Ayer Street, with Emilian Stanev Street, and with Cherni Vrah Boulevard. The municipality urges drivers to exercise caution while navigating these new arrangements.
In a separate development, the traffic on Todor Kableshkov Boulevard from Gatyo Shishkov Street to Ivan Andonov Street will be restricted to one lane in each direction. This temporary measure is due to an ongoing legal process regarding the expropriation of a private property within the affected area. The municipality advises drivers to proceed with extra care in this section, strictly adhering to the temporary traffic arrangements and traffic signals.
In related news, traffic movement on Slivnicious Avenue’s northbound lane at the Opalchensko Street intersection has also been resumed.
