Warning Over Ukraine‘s ‘Terrorist Attacks’: Russia
Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has issued a stark warning to Ukraine, stating that the country will face a more forceful response if it continues its "terrorist attacks" on Russian territory. Lavrov made these remarks during an appearance on the ’60 Minutes’ program on Russia’s Rossiya-1 channel.
"Ukraine’s deliberate targeting of civilian areas, including residential buildings, hospitals, shops, and public spaces, is a direct violation of all anti-terrorism conventions and UN Security Council resolutions on the matter," Lavrov said, condemning the actions of the Kyiv regime.
The Russian foreign minister cautioned that each subsequent attack would meet with an increasingly resolute response from Russia. "We warn that the continuation of this trajectory will face a more decisive retaliation with each passing instance," he emphasized.
Lavrov expressed disappointment that the international community, including major western nations and international organizations like the UN, OSCE, and UNESCO, have largely failed to condemn these attacks. He noted that Russia consistently provides information and evidence, including video footage, of its military destroying facilities directly involved in preparing and carrying out Ukrainian military activities.
"Based on my understanding, the damage inflicted on Ukraine’s military capabilities is immense," Lavrov concluded, underscoring the significant impact of both these ‘terrorist attacks’ and the broader special military operation conducted by Russia in recent months.
