Car Rams into House in Wildervank
In the early hours of Monday, December 23, a car careered into a house in Wildervank, damaging the building’s façade. The incident, which occurred on the Zilstraat, resulted in no casualties, according to RTV Noord.
Large Fire Sweeps through Nieuw-Buinen Loods
The peace was disrupted later in the day when a massive fire broke out in a loods at an industrial estate along the Industrieweg in Nieuw-Buinen. The fire, which lasted for several hours, caused substantial damage to the building and led to the evacuation of nearby residents as a precautionary measure.
The blaze was so intense that it triggered an NL-Alert, a system used to warn the public of imminent danger. The alert warned residents of the thick smoke generated by the fire and advised them to keep windows and doors closed.
